Balto, AKA Albert C. Pena, is a freelance cartoonist and furry artist who made his first professional appearance at San Diego Comic Con in 1995. Born in Canal Zone, Panama, Balto entered the furry fandom only a few years ago when he attended his first furry con at Califur in 2005. In addition to his accomplishments as a furry artist, Balto has created several mainstream ventures including the "Critter County" comic strip published on the web and in several newspapers nationwide, as well as the comic book series "Orville", which was distributed nationally through Diamond Distributors. In addition to comics, Balto has created works for hire for various private companies including Christian publishing giant BB Kirk Bride. His artistic influences include Don Bluth, Chuck Jones and John Alvin.
Balto has further served as vice president of the Southern California Cartoonist Society (SCCS), a chapter of the National Cartoonist Society. He is an avid collector of original animation art, and enjoys fossil hunting on weekends.
Oklacon is excited and proud to host Balto as our artist Guest of Honor at the eighth installment of the first and largest outdoor furry convention in the United States. Check out his amazing work on his FurAffinity page, or in person at Oklacon!
KnotCast is the [very] adult furry podcast, featuring the smutty personalities of Fuzzwolf, Savrin, Istanbul, and Shiva. Based out of Dallas, TX; Knotcast is a furry sex and relationship advice podcast where we share our very adult humor and insights on topics beyond the relationship realm. We strive to answer questions with honesty and humor, giving examples from our own lives if we have them.
Started in 2008, KnotCast filled a niche in furry podcasting that hadn't been addressed yet. Given the relationship heavy nature of the furry fandom for most, it was somewhere we could help. With an international listener base, we hope to entertain while we help people out.
